With National Elvis Week starting on August 10th, we thought we would interview Frank Lanotte, who is, without a doubt, Elvis’ biggest fan at Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care.
In fact, he idolizes the King and would like to visit Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee someday.
He was “All Shook Up” when he said, “Elvis made more money than anyone in the music business. He was the most generous man in the world… even gave away Cadillacs to his band members, bodyguards, his doctor, his maid, his cook, even complete strangers! He gave his Mother a new Pepto-pink Caddy in 1955, even though she couldn’t drive.”
Frank added, “I think of Elvis 24 hours a day. I love his music and ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ with him whenever I hear it.”
Before becoming a resident, this Los Angeles native ran a prosperous carpet cleaning business. Now a widower, Frank has happily settled in at Paintbrush. In fact, his three loving, charming granddaughters call and visit him often.
Frank closed our interview with a big smile. “Every morning, three beautiful women open my front door at 7:00 am. They must have thought Elvis was in here. When they found out I wasn’t the King… they left.”
Frank was fine with that, though. He gave us a pose that the King would be proud of and said, “It’s All Right, Baby.”
Thank you, Frank… thank you very much!
