On Veterans Day, Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care was proud to host a salute to Fresno-area veterans and their families. Here are a few photographs of how we thanked them for their service to our country, including a celebration for Alfred “Fred” Landucci along with his fellow veterans.
“Fred” served in the army for four years during World War II. As a member of the signal corps, he was stationed in the Pacific Islands. He was honorably discharged in November 1945 with the rank of Master Sergeant. For his service, Mr. Landucci received a Bronze Star which was awarded to him 60 years after the war was over in 2005.
At that point he commented, “I am sure glad they didn’t wait much longer,” he was 90-years-old then. Little did he know at the time that he would live to celebrate his 100th birthday in September, 2014 and he now resides at Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care in Fresno.
To Fred and his brave countrymen, thank you for serving our country, from the bottom of our hearts.
